As MHI seeks to improve industry data and statistics, one goal is to study the economic impact of the manufactured housing industry both nationally and at a state level. Dr. Steven Cooke of the Alward Institute for Collaborative Science will share his findings and discuss the results during the Monday morning breakfast and general session.  This project is only the first step to laying a foundation of professional and authoritative industry data.

This meeting will also feature a special educational session that includes in-depth discussion and analysis on the HUD manufactured housing installation program and the on-site completion rule.  These issues are hot topics for community operators and retailers throughout the country.  If you're struggling with how to adapt to these regulations this educational program is for you!

MHI's Summer Meeting provides an excellent mid-year opportunity for members to network, exchange information, stay current on housing trends, and learn about issues of concern to the industry.  In addition, various MHI boards, divisions and committees will meet to discuss and debate issues important to their members.

Industry members will discuss the following issues.

  • The Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act
  • Increasing Manufactured Home Lending Access to Secondary Market Finance Mechanisms
  • Extension of the New Energy Efficient Home Tax Credit
  • Agency Regulation of New Energy Standards
  • Oversight of the Federal Manufactured Housing Program

Your registration fee includes the following:

  • Networking reception Sunday evening
  • Monday morning breakfast and general session
  • Lunch on Monday
  • Afternoon HUD Installation/Onsite Completion Sessions
  • Networking reception Monday evening
  • Breakfast on Tuesday morning
  • Committee, board and division meetings throughout that provide MHI members the opportunity to provide input on important industry issues
