This 2 hour webinar will focus on NAF (National Authority File) / Library of Congress authority name records including a review of changes between AACR2 and RDA records, new fields in Authority records, the role of creators under RDA and how that impacts authorities, in addition to the basics of interpreting an authority record. Discussion will include the correlation of authority fields with the MARC bibliographic record and creating new records. Participants should have a basic understanding of cataloging, MARC records, and some exposure to authority records.
