Real Life Experiences In Dealing with the UPIAs—Practical Problems, Drafting and Other Solutions
Very difficult issues arise in real life under both the Uniform Prudent Investor Act and the Uniform Principal and Income Act. Conflicts can easily arise between income and remainder beneficiaries of trusts when these two acts come into play in situations that had not been anticipated by the settlor and the drafter. The panel will address these thorny issues and practical drafting and planning solutions in dealing with the two UPIAs.
