PRIDE Core is a multimodule competency-based training that addresses the knowledge and skills foster parents need. The modules total 87 hours of training and range in duration from 3 to 15 hours.

Module 3 consists of one three-hour session, Addressing Developmental Issues Related to Sexuality. This session provides information on normal sexual development and behavior in children and youth, identifies factors that indicate problematic sexual behavior, and outlines techniques for educating children about sexuality.
