Quo Vadis Medicaid

The Medicaid program is the most vulnerable of all of the so called entitlement programs. There is five times as much money going into home care through Medicaid as through Medicare. The Home Care and Hospice community needs to develop and publicize a credible plan that the Congress can adopt and make their own. Hear about the issues that are outlined in NAHC’s updated Medicaid Blueprint for Action and the plans to advocate for Medicaid programs and reimbursement that will enable providers to better serve their Medicaid patients and their families.

Objectives:

  • Describe and discuss changes in Medicaid funding and programs that serve home care and hospice patients
  • Identify advocacy initiatives that will be needed to impact legislation and regulation around Medicaid programs and reimbursement in a positive way
  • Discuss strategy to inform and advocate for meaningful change in Medicaid policy and reimbursement for home care and hospice

Panelists: Colin Roskey, JD, Executive Director of the Medicaid Action Council, and Counsel to NAHC; Chris Jennings, President of Jennings Policy Strategy, Inc.; Andrea L. Devoti, MSN, MBA, RN, Chairman of the NAHC Government Affairs Committee, Co-chairman of the NAHC Medicaid Advisory Council; Ellen Bolch, MSN, BSN, MHA, Co-chairman of the NAHC Medicaid Advisory Council
