Metadata in Practice

This webinar will explore the function of metadata for archival material, challenges and opportunities of describing archival material, and an introduction to Dublin Core.

Competency:  Create a metadata record (template will be provided)

This webinar is part of a series on the ins and out of metadata work, from different types of schemas to practical description of items.  Each 2 hour class will include discussion time and build upon knowledge, with the final class focused on mapping, crosswalking, and working with a variety of metadata schemas.  Participants will be provided handouts, resource materials, examples, and practice exercises.

Each webinar in this series is a stand-alone training event.

Presenter:  Robin Faye

Robin joins us again for a series of webinars to address the top cataloging training needs of SEFLIN members.
