It is Part 2 of a 3- Part Series on

The Challenging Patron

Library Service, Safety, and Security and the Moments of Truth

Spend this hour with one of the nation's leading experts on library safety and security.  You will come away with practical and realistic tools to make your facility a better, safer place to work.  Learn safe workplace behaviors, security measure4s, and how to activate your "high-risk" customer service skills.

Among the many topics to be discussed will be:  the "New" Library environment; workplace violence and its perpetrators; challenging patrons (and their beasts), and; on-going homeless or mentally challenged patron management.

Presented by:  Dr. Steve Albrecht

Steve Albrecht is internationally-known for his consulting and training work in workplace violence prevention training programs, school violence prevention and high-risk human resources.  He teaches workshops for city and county government departments, and offers harassment prevention, stress management, and team-building programs to solve conflicts.  He is the author of the newly released book  Library Security: Better Communications, Safer Facilities.
