We all tell stories, so take the next step and add storytelling to your library programs and outreach for young children! Oral storytelling can be a useful tool for programming staff while offering learning outcomes for children and engaging a wider age range than many traditional story times.
In this one hour program, Amy Schardein will give you resources and tools that you will be able to use immediately and cover important information on: the benefits of storytelling to both listeners and tellers; how to choose a story suited for story telling; easy methods for storytelling, and; examples of flexible and quick stories.
Participants will receive a bibliography of books and websites.
