Single-site (metallocene) catalyzed ethylene-based plastomers and elastomers were commercially introduced in the early 1990s. This new class of ethylene copolymers significantly extended the performance envelope of polyethylene resins and were quickly adopted in many applications, such as sealants, polypropylene impact modifiers, hot-melt adhesives, toughness enhancers, etc. This webinar will discuss the manufacture of and structure-property relationships in ethylene-based plastomers and elastomers. The performance attributes and key applications of these materials will also be extensively discussed.
