Mark Cotham is a shareholder in Cotham, Harwell & O'Conor, PC, a three person firm in Houston with a practice consisting entirely of commercial, oil and gas and personal injury litigation. Mark's practice has emphasized commercial and oil and gas litigation. He has successfully defended and prosecuted to dismissal, judgment or settlement over thirty multi-million dollar claims. In addition to serving as litigation counsel, Mark also has a great deal of experience serving as a master in chancery, mediator and arbitrator in a variety of complex commercial disputes.
Mark is a graduate of University of Texas School of Law (J.D., with Honors, 1982) Order of the Coif. He is also a graduate of Northwestern University where he received a B.S. and an M.A. in Communication Studies

Mark's involvement in the community includes helping to establish Urban Harvest, Houston's community garden program, serving as the Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Houston Zoological Gardens, establishing several community and orphan assistance projects in Northwest Uganda and serving in a variety of positions at Chapelwood United Methodist Church. Mark's hobbies include rotisserie basketball (1992 USA Today National Champion), fruit and vegetable gardening and barbecuing (Mark's team was the Grand Champion in 2010 and the First Reserve Rib Champion in 2000 at the World's Championship BBQ Cook-off in Houston, Texas). |
