About the Speaker

Lynita Mitchell-Blackwell
is an attorney, CPA who has managed her own law firm for six years specializing in real estate and business law.  She is also the author of  
Leading Through Living: A Guide for Women Seeking Growth Through Leadership.   


In addition to her work as an attorney and author, Lynita is a facilitator and trainer, and has developed and executed workshops on team building, conflict management, brand and image management, and professional development.


Lynita has been by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation with the President's Call to Service Award (2012), a lifetime achievement award for service; and Black Enterprise Magazine as one of its "BE NEXT 35" Young and Bold Business Leaders (2011).  She is the Georgia Chapter President of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants and Advisory Board Chair of the New Leaders Council - Atlanta Chapter.


Lynita earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida A&M University School of Business & Industry and Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University College of Law. She is admitted to practice law in the state of Georgia and holds her CPA license in the state of Florida. 

Lynita recently completed her first half marathon, loves to write and paint, and is an avid reader. She lives in Atlanta with her family.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

AAA-CPA  continuing education programs are designed to meet the needs of Attorneys and CPAs and to qualify for credit both as CPE and CLE. Of course, the decisions of various state authorities determine the actual credit granted. There are no prerequisites or advance preparation requirements for this course.

Accounting CPE/Legal CLE/MCLE

The American Association of Attorney-CPAs is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website www.learningmarket.org. A brochure with full details of the program is available from the association at 888-288-9272. These programs meet the NASBA standards of 1 (50 minute) hour of instruction.  If you require CLE in a state not mentioned, please call our national office and we will do our best to arrange for credit in your state.
