Description
Attendees to this lecture will come away with a much clearer understanding of the long term (>10 years) complications of dental implant treatment. Treatment planning and diagnosis using modern conebeam computerized tomography will be explained and demonstrated. Pre-surgical foundation assessment and augmentation will be demonstrated with clinical and CBCT images to support the diagnosis. Audience members will gain significant insight into what makes a case go bad, and how to avoid this through a staged treatment planning protocol. Prosthesis retention mechanisms will be discussed and clear recommendations made for most cases. Failures and successes will be demonstrated in full multi-media format (Powerpoint slides, clinical and animated videos) on cases treated over the last 12 years.
