Description
This presentation will describe clinical situations that dictate delayed implant placement, such as infection, unhealthy tissue, decreased bone volume to contain the implant, as well as patients’ indecision to have an implant placed at this time.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
1. Evaluate clinical cases for delayed implant placement
2. Discuss delayed implant placement after bone grafting with particulate graft materials, block bone grafting, and tissue grafting
3. Evaluate the implant site before and after delayed techniques are used
