Alliance/Life Insurers Council (LIC) Committee Meetings

Life Insurers Council - Committees

LIC committees provide an excellent opportunity for companies to network and share information with their peers at competing carriers.  Committees are grouped around specific home office responsibilities such as Operations, Technology, Marketing, Investments, Laws and Legislation, and Enterprise Risk Management.  Meetings consist primarily of round table discussion that allows for each participant to discuss their primary initiatives and solicit feedback from the group.  Experts on specific topics are also invited for more detailed discussions on issues that are of particular interest to the group.  Although most committees meet in person once or twice a year, committee members continue to exchange questions throughout the year via a dedicated website that facilitates easy inquiries and archives previous exchanges in a searchable database.  LIC committees provide an excellent resource for smaller companies (less than $2B in assets) selling life, annuity, or supplemental products -- or for companies of any size selling niche products such as final expense and preneed.

Alliance members who do not belong to an LIC Committee may attend one Committee meeting for a reduced fee of $199 per person (includes content and meals).  To attend additional meetings of that Committee, the society must join that Committee.
