Karmit Bulman, Executive Director, Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration (MAVA)
Karmit Bulman is MAVA’s Executive Director. She has extensive experience running non-profit organizations and has a strong background of leadership in international, national and statewide coalition building. Before coming to MAVA, Karmit was the executive director of the Conflict Resolution Center and previously served as executive director for Temple Israel, Vail Place and Avenues for Homeless Youth. Her roles have involved financial management, program development, public and community relations, fund raising and oversight of organizational operations. She has a particular passion for facilitation of collaborative processes, conflict assessment, coalition building, executive coaching and consulting, new business development, organizational turnaround, and revenue expansion.
Karmit firmly believes that increased volunteer infrastructure can maximize capacity by making it possible for all non-profits and government entities to fulfill their missions. In Karmit’s words: “Volunteers are a critical resource for improving lives and communities. MAVA provides cutting edge resources which enable organizations to meet critical community needs.”

Jackie Hintz – Membership Ambassador for Thrivent! As a 30-year member and a 24-year employee, Jackie is well qualified to be the member facing representative and spokesperson for Thrivent’s mission and vision. Jackie’s passion for volunteer activation, generosity, leadership and the benefits of membership is evident in how she lives her life and how she shares her Thrivent Way stories.
Throughout her tenure at Thrivent she has held multiple positions including the Vice President of Member Engagement and Growth, Vice President of Field Talent Acquisition, Director of Career Entry along with a variety of other missionally aligned roles.
Outside of work, Jackie is active in multiple volunteer opportunities in her community of Appleton, WI. She serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way Fox Cities, the Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity board and is the President of the Board of the Fox Valley Technical College Foundation. She can often be found traveling the world participating or leading Thrivent Builds trips promoting and helping to build safe, decent housing for all.
