Event Description

2019 EEI/CEWD GIE Test Prep Webinar

Thursday, February 21, 2019
2:00 - 3:00 PM EST

Developed by the Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD) in partnership with the EEI Employment Testing Department, the Get Into Energy (GIE) Test Prep Workshop is a structured instructor-led program that provides candidates the opportunity to not only learn more about pre-employment testing for the energy industry, but to experience it firsthand. The Workshop is approximately 20-25 hours in length and can be offered bootcamp style or over a longer period of time due to its modular structure.

We encourage energy companies to bring their partners in testing, human resources and workforce development to attend this webinar for an update on the EEI employment testing program and to learn more about how to utilize this unique tool, designed specifically for EEI CAST, MASS and POSS tests. Entergy Workforce Planning Manager, Amber Lopez, will share how they are using GIE Test Prep with a variety of audiences and showing promising results.

Speakers:

  • Valerie Taylor, Education Consultant, CEWD
  • Rob Michel, Ph.D., Senior Director, EEI Employment Testing
  • Amber Lopez, Manager, Workforce Planning, Entergy
