Event Description
National Energy Education Network
August 22-13, 2013
Location:
Westin Indianapolis
50 South Capitol Ave.
Indianapolis, IN 46204
The NEEN Meeting is a learning forum designed specifically for secondary and post-secondary educators and their energy and utility company partners. The forum provides opportunities to share best practices in design and implementation of energy education curricula and to work through actual solutions and approaches to overcoming challenges in preparing today’s workforce for jobs in the energy industry. A majority of the agenda will be devoted to hands-on, practical discussion and application.
Specific goals of this year’s NEEN Meeting are to:
· Reinforce education’s and industry’s partnership in supplying the energy industry with a skilled workforce;
· Provide up-to-date information on relevant “game changers” facing the energy industry, their potential impact on current and future workers and approaches conference participants can apply to prepare for the changes; and
· Showcase successful implementation of Get Into Energy Career Pathways Program.
With generous support from Lumina Foundation in Indianapolis, CEWD is able to offer the NEEN meeting without a conference registration fee.
