Who’s Who & What’s Up with Agency??

The who when where and why of Agency Disclosure. Who is the Broker’s agent? To whom does the Broker’s Agent owe fiduciary responsibility? You want to be sure you have it right! Role playing discussion, power point, and class participation encouraged. Fulfills the new DOS Agency requirement for license renewal.

 

Understand Local Zoning & Code Enforcement

September 6th 12:00pm – 3:00pm

3.0 hours CE credit. Instructor: Joe Pettinella. Cost: $40.

Learn the role of local, state, and county government in Code Enforcement, Understanding master plans, wetlands, department of health, etc.

 

Salesperson Qualifying Course

September 11th   – November 29th (includes snow dates)

Tuesday and Thursday Evenings from 6:00pm – 9:00pm

Cost: $775. Text book available for purchase. 

Everything you need to become licensed real estate sales associate. This class can also be used for the 30 hours Salesperson Remedial Qualifying course. 30 hours of continuing education.

 

New Member Ethics & Orientation

September 12th, 12:15 – 4:00pm

Learn about what it means to be a REALTOR, your roles responsibilities as well as the benefits of being a part of our association. New member Ethics fulfills the NAR mandatory Code of Ethics and is required to obtain full REALTOR status. New Member Orientation must be completed within 120 days of membership application. Also satisfies your ethics requirement for the 2017 – 2018 cycle.

 

The Code of Ethics 5

All REALTORS must complete this course every two years in order to maintain their REALTOR status.

The current ethics cycle is 2017 – 2018. All REALTORS must complete this class prior to Dec 31, 2018.

Fair Housing “What You Say & What You Do Can Hurt You”

October 10th  5:00 – 8:00pm 

3 hours CE credit.   Instructor: Christine Jones.  Cost: $40.00.

Fulfills MANDATORY Fair Housing requirement for NYS license renewal.

Understand how the Fair Housing Act applies to advertising. Acceptable descriptions and words to avoid in your ads to guard against discrimination. Ads will be critiqued (non-verbs ads, too).

Quiz yourself and know the questions to ask yourself about your ad.

 

Understanding Architectural Blueprints and Engineering

October 24th, 5:00pm – 8:00pm

3 hours CE credit. Instructor: Joe Pettinella. Cost: $40.

Review of architectural, sub-division and board of health plans as well as survey maps.

 

What’s happening at the Closing Table? (TRID, Adjustments, etc.)

November 14th5:00pm – 8:00pm

3.0 hours of CE credit. Instructor: Christine Jones. Cost: $40.

Your role at closing, understand the chain of title, abstract report , marketable title, closing statement, credits & debits, adjustments & prorating, calculating tax adjustments, RESPA, method of notice, HUD-1 form. The closing is the goal – know what is happening at the closing!
