Join fellow Electric League members as we tour the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Western Regional Center in Seattle, Washington, the largest NOAA facility outside of Washington, D.C. On the tour of the Western Regional Center, you will learn about weather detection and forecast methods, how they create tools used by emergency responders nationwide and why NOAA is so vital to the US. From daily weather forecasts, severe storm warnings and climate monitoring to fisheries management, coastal restoration and supporting marine commerce, NOAA’s products and services support economic vitality and affect more than one-third of America’s gross domestic product.
