ERTA POSITION STATEMENTS
Click on the links below to read ERTA's position statements on:

Intercarrier Compensation and its Impact on Rural America >>>

ERTA believes the current intercarrier compensation is unnecessarily confusing. ERTA supports a solution that addresses both intercarrier compensation and universal service support at the same time.

Broadband in Rural America >>>
ERTA believes broadband deployment is critical to consumers and businesses in Rural America.

Universal Service Fund Audits >>>
ERTA understands the importance of Universal Service Fund (“USF”) audits to ensure compliance with applicable rules.  ERTA supports full accountability for companies that receive and use USF funding.

ERTA joined the American Television Alliance (ATVA) in 2010 to help raise awareness about the consumer harm involved in retransmission consent negotiations between cable companies, such as many ERTA member companies, and local broadcast stations.  Harm such as service disruptions if negotiations stall and higher cable bills as a result of take it or leave it demands from local broadcast stations.
