The 1992 Cable Act:  20 Years Later

The Video Programming and Distribution Committee will hold a CLE on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:15 p.m. on the 20th Anniversary of the Cable Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992 (“The 1992 Cable Act”).  The seminar will focus on the six principal provisions of the 1992 Act: Rate Regulation, Retransmission Consent, Must Carry, Program Access, Program Carriage, and Franchising.  Speakers will give an overview of the above-listed subjects and provide an assessment of whether the 1992 Act, in retrospect, achieved its objectives.  This program will be held at Wiley Rein LLP, 1776 K Street, NW.
