Event Description

The FCBA Enforcement Committee will host a CLE on Tuesday, May 23 from 3:00 – 5:15 p.m. entitled “From Pirates and Jammers to Wi-Fi and Signal Blocking: Issues in Modern Interference Enforcement.”  This program will be held at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, 1500 K Street, NW, Suite 1100.

The session will begin with a brief overview of the Field Modernization Plan.

3:15 – 4:10 p.m.         Interference, Unauthorized Transmissions and Field Enforcement: an Overview
A panel of FCC Enforcement Bureau staff will discuss FCC enforcement of unauthorized transmissions.  This panel will share their perspectives on FCC field enforcement, the effects of the Field Modernization Plan on detection activities and tips for how to assist with jamming or pirate radio broadcasting.
