This program will be held at Arnold & Porter LLP, 555 12th Street, NW.The July 2012 report of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) emphasized spectrum sharing as a means for making federal spectrum available for commercial mobile services. Since then, the FCC has taken steps to implement key recommendations of the PCAST report, most recently announcing it would make available 100 MHz of spectrum in the 3.5 GHz band for small cell use. In addition, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has taken steps to explore sharing between federal and commercial users.
