Topic: California Small Cell Legislation Panel Discussion
Date/Time: Thursday, March 29, 6:00 – 8:00pm
Location: Covington & Burling LLP, One Front Street, San Francisco, CA 94111
Please join us for a panel discussion on small cell legislation in California, with panelists from the wireless industry, wireless infrastructure industry and local governments. Panelists will discuss lessons learned from the 2017 legislative session and how the industry plans to address small cell deployment in 2018.
Last year SB 649 passed the legislature with overwhelming legislative support, only to be vetoed by the Governor. Similar legislation has been enacted in 10 states that will help promote the deployment of small cells. Legislation has either been introduced or is currently pending in 15 more states this year. Our panel will discuss why SB 649 was vetoed and developments regarding similar legislation in 2018. With thousands of small cells being deployed in California, this issue continues to receive heightened attention by all interested parties. Please join us for a robust discussion of the issues.
