Level Up Your Accuracy in ICD-10-CM

There will be increased dependence on the grouper and comorbidity adjustments to optimize your revenue considering the new proposed cuts. The changes include more diagnoses added to the comorbidity lists at the same time CMS reports a higher comorbidity adjustment than expected.

This training will include all the newest updates to coding for 2023, including hundreds of new codes, along with changes to conventions and guidelines (October 1, 2022). Coding changes related to OASIS E (the removal of M1021 and M1023) will be discussed.

Increase your knowledge and understanding of diagnoses coding related to PDGM, OASIS E, and face-to-face requirements.

Gain the expertise your agency needs to thrive in this comprehensive two-day intermediate coding course specific for home care coders.

  1. Describe the impact of proposed regulations on diagnosis coding practice.
  2. Explain the relationship between diagnosis coding practice and Patient Driven Grouper Model (PDGM)
  3. Explain new codes and guidelines.
  4. Explain the application of diagnosis codes to OASIS and the claim.
  5. Identify guidelines for coding diabetes, heart disease, respiratory conditions and skin conditions.
