Change is the one thing that a person can count on in home care. This is especially true during the last quarter of each year. It is during this time that CMS publishes PPS Revisions and imposes coding changes, along with other modifications. The entire year of 2018 has brought many, many changes and there are far more yet to come. With the stressors of the holiday seasons it becomes almost impossible to keep pace with all that must be done and still study and prepare for all that is facing us in 2019.
This program is designed to do that for you. Relax and enjoy your Christmas and New Year’s. After the beginning of the new year, this HCLA program will bring together in one program, a synopsis of all the major changes facing you in 2019. This program will discuss the changes in the:
-
PPS Revisions 2019 / HHRG Point Redistribution
-
Major ICD-10 Coding changes specific to home care
-
OIG Work Plan for 2019 for Home Health care
-
OASIS -D Impact Act New Items
-
5 Star Rating Changes
-
Modifications to Final Interpretive Guidelines
-
OIG Compliance Guidance
-
Palmetto GBA Review Activities and Most Commonly Cited Denials.
-
Medicaid Prior- Authorization Requirements
This program will allow participants an opportunity to share ideas and consider alternate strategies in facing the challenges of the new year.
Upon completion of the program the participant will be able to recall and describe at least 2 changes in each of the 9 regulatory related categories that became effective in 2019.
