Event Description

This course will provide participants the knowledge and skills to understand, design and implement a sustainable learning environment in their district. Building systems, energy efficiency, renewable energy systems, and the legal implications associated with such operational decisions will be discussed along with their impact on the learning environment and student wellness. 

Sessions:

  • Sustainability in Programmatic Options for Increased Energy Efficiency
  • Understanding Renewable Energy Systems Impact on Learning
  • Legal Implications to Your District When Changing Energy Systems
  • Sustainable Building Design & its' Effects on Student Wellness and the Learning Community
  • Analyzing Building Systems vs Sustainable Systems in Environmental Impact

Program: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Lunch: 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Due to changes in the Illinois State Board of Education professional development requirements, please be advised that you will be required to sign/scan in and out of all professional development opportunities, in which credits are offered.
