Board Goals and Strategies

Part of the ongoing role of the Board is to work on the strategic plan for the Association. The following is a current list of Board goals that have timelines ranging from 2015 to 2020.

Illinois ASBO will:

• Grow and enhance its partnerships with the Alliance and other entities.
• Maintain a strong presence in Springfield.
• Communicate and implement an advocacy vision.
• Have at least one member in every school district in Illinois.
• Enhance member and nonmember participation and engagement.
• Provide presenters with tools to help develop their public speaking skills to enhance the quality of presentations.
• Continue to improve, expand and develop quality Day conferences.
• Leverage technology to deliver professional development.
• Continue to develop and work on strategies to increase professional development downstate.
• Continue to develop and implement new Administrator Academies.
• Provide a model of assistance to those requesting guidance.
• Develop dashboards that highlight key indicators.
• Provide targeted services to support new and transitioning SBOs.
