NextGen SBO Summit presenters are professional practitioners in education. These individuals are instrumental in the success of changing how innovation is implemented into the learning experience. They come from a multitude of backgrounds. 



Anthony Arbogast

Anthony is a recent graduate of the NIU School Business Management program and is entering his second year at Roselle SD 12. Anthony was recognized with two Illinois ASBO Scholarships, receiving both the DuPage and Northeastern Regional Scholarship awards.


Reiley Bechtold-Straub

David Bein, SFO
Asst. Supt./Business, CSBO Downers Grove SD 58
David is an active member of Illinois ASBO and ASBO International, and a frequent speaker and presenter on various topics. Prior to working in education, David worked in the private sector as a corporate finance manager and in the areas of business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and manufacturing engineering.




Sue Bertrand, MBA, CAE
Deputy ED/COO, Illinois ASBO
Worked for PMA Financial Network, Inc. as a Senior Financial Advisor. While there, Sue was a member of Illinois ASBO, and chaired the Public Policy PDC. Sue received the Lighthouse Award for her work as part of a team that developed the DAA.


Audra Braski
Vice President, PMA Financial Network, Inc.
Audra has provided Illinois school districts with financial services through PMA Financial for the past 11 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Finance and her Masters in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. Audra has been a member of IASBO for 9 years and she is currently the Immediate Past Chair of the Service Associate Advisory Committee (SAAC). Audra holds a Series 24, Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses.

Jordi Camps

Jordi is a certified public accountant and has previously held several positions at Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions, ultimately serving as Operations Controller – Product Development, successfully administering a $400 million budget. He holds a BS in accounting and finance from Florida International University and an MBA from DePaul University.

John Izzo

John's legal practice since 1984 has focused in the areas of school and local government law, real estate taxation and local government finance, constitutional law and governing board procedures. He has co-authored the chapters on Civil Rights Litigation and School Finance in the last several editions of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s treatise on Illinois School Law, drafted and testified on behalf of several amendments to the Illinois Property Tax Code and School Code.


Stephen Johns

Stephen has been in education for 37 years with 24 of those years as a school business manager in both regular and special education districts ranging in size from 1400 to 14,000 students. As a school business manager, he has been responsible for managing all aspects of school construction projects totaling more than $250 million.

Anne has worked in public finance as one of the leading underwriters of school bonds for the past 28 years and helps school districts with all types of capital planning and funding.  She is currently the chair of the Illinois ASBO Service Associate Advisory Committee. 


Dan Oberg

Dan has been the Director of Business Services at Wheeling Community Consolidated School District 21 for the past year. Prior to that he spent three years as the Fiscal Services Coordinator for J. Sterling Morton High School District 201. He also worked for two separate accounting firms, auditing school districts for six years, before joining the Education field. He obtained his Masters degree and CSBO designation in 2016.

In his 8-year career in school business, Dan has served in almost every capacity including payroll, human resources, accounting, and board secretary. Since 2012, he has served as Assistant Superintendent for Business/CSBO at Lincolnshire-Prairie View School District 103. Dan holds an M.S.Ed. in School Business Management from Northern Illinois University and a B.S. in Business Management/Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Carol has her BA in Business Administration from DePaul University. Carol joined the DeKalb SD team in 2012 as the districts foods service director overseeing the current contract management company.​
