Why A Foundation?

Donations to the Foundation make a difference through:

Recognitions
A career in school business management is a career in service to communities and students. That’s why every year at the Annual Conference we take time to recognize those who make this profession strong. Recipients of most recognitions have the opportunity to send money to a school-related cause they care about.

Scholarships
Support future leaders in the profession — the dollars donated support scholarships that enable others to continue their education, make connections and grow in their leadership.

In 2013, over $15,000 dollars in Foundation Scholarships were awarded thanks to generous donations!

Community Service Projects
Prior to the Annual Conference each year volunteers have the opportunity to serve local communities and children through a community service project.

Other Foundation Sponsored Events and Activities Include:

Annual Southern Illinois Education Leadership Conference
CTBA’s Annual Fiscal Symposium
ASBO International Campaign Activities

Funds are also sent to other causes that support the Foundation mission – For example, in 2013 the Foundation directed funds to the Oklahoma ASBO’s Tornado relief fund.

“In this day and age when there are so many fiscal restraints…the availability of scholarships and other resources to help business managers learn more about the profession is extremely important.”
