Workforce analytics is most effective when conducted in partnership with HR/Talent Management and with the ongoing support of operations leaders in taking action on the results of analytics investigations. At Johnson Controls, our goal is to ensure that data is presented methodically to leaders, with an eye on advising our colleagues on next steps (as opposed to just “throwing data over the wall”).
This presentation will focus on the technical, communication, and change management aspects of workforce analytics that ultimately drive action. Our deliberate process helped us gain credibility, engage our audience, and find common ground to execute better talent management strategies.
The session will also use a case study on hourly/salaried turnover and we’ll share several surprising findings:
- Factors that increase an employee’s likelihood to quit
- How working more hours actually decreases turnover
- Using conjoint analysis to identify easy-to-implement retention strategies
- Conducting action planning workshops that transfer responsibility for strategy execution to operations leaders
