Today’s workforce increasingly consists of remote personnel who interact and collaborate virtually.  Reliance on online collaboration and social media tools to achieve business goals is expanding and quickly becoming the norm.  Increased security control enforcement can result in users bypassing those controls by using independent accounts, removable media and other tools that enable them to achieve their objectives.  These practices can result in security risks which can leave organizations vulnerable to both insider and external threats.  This webinar will suggest security controls to remediate the risks, including secure remote access policies, as well as procedures to manage risks related to collaboration, social media and removable media.


1. Identify security risks from removable storage devices, collaboration tools and social media

2. Understand controls that can be implemented to enable secure collaboration

3. Understand the tradeoffs between enhanced security enforcement and reduced security compliance.
