Workplace violence is any act or threat of physical violence, harassment,intimidation, or other threatening disruptive behavior that occurs at the work site. It ranges from threats and verbal abuse to physical assaults and even homicide. It can affect and involve employees, clients, customers and visitors. However it manifests itself, work-place violence is a major concern for employers and employees nationwide. Does your facility have a workplace violence prevention program? Do you know what steps to take to prevent or abate a recognized violence hazard in your facility? This workshop will assist facilities in developing strategies to minimize workplace violence, identifying the components of a workplace violence prevention program, and understanding OSHA’s inspection procedures after a workplace violence incident.
At the conclusion of this seminar participants will:
- Identify strategies to minimize workplace violence;
Understand the components of a workplace violence prevention program, and
- Understand the OSHA inspection process after a workplace violence incident.

If traveling North on I-95/128: Take Exit 21 (Route 16). Proceed up ramp, staying to the left. Take a left onto Route 16 West which is Washington Street. Get into middle lane. Proceed approximately 2/10 of a mile, going through set of lights. Take a left into the first driveway after Gregorian Rug. Our building is clapboard with fieldstone trim and between Gregorian and Starbucks/Boston Private Bank. Parking is in the rear of the building. Park only in spots marked "MSCA Reserved."
If traveling South on I-95/128: Take Exit 21B (Route 16, Wellesley). At light turn right onto Washington Street/Route 16 West. Take a left into the first driveway after Gregorian Rug. Our building is clapboard with fieldstone trim and between Gregorian and Starbucks/Boston Private Bank. Parking is in the rear of the building. Park only in spots marked "MSCA Reserved."
From the Mass. Turnpike, go south on 128/95.
Parking: As you come down the driveway there will be a grass island in front of you. One section of "MSCA Reserved" spaces is to the right of this island (spaces # 63-70). Other "MSCA Reserved" spaces are further to the right on the far side of a second parking area (spaces # 49-55). If these spots are filled, go back up the driveway and turn left onto Washington Street. Take a left into the post office parking lot (second driveway after Starbuck's) and park only in spaces behind the post office marked "MSCA Reserved" (spaces # 191-198 & 168). If these spaces are full, you will see a Valet who will park your car for you and return it at the end of the day’s event. Please do not park in other spaces; you may be towed.
