University and Field Site Collaboration and Connection
The theme for the 9th annual Field Supervision Institute is “University and Field Site Collaboration and Connection.” Session topics will address various aspects of coordinating training program and field site expectations in support of school psychology trainees. The session on ethics and professional practice will help participants address related dilemmas they face in the field.
Specific learning objectives - By attending this program participants will:

Increase their understanding of professional development stages in supervising school psychology trainees in the field.

Understand and be able to emulate characteristics of effective field supervision.

Expand their repertoire of practices that support consistency between students’ field experiences and training program expectations.

Increase their knowledge of approaches and strategies to enhance collaboration between field supervisors and training programs

Expand their understanding of what constitutes a useful psychological evaluation, with consideration given to clinical needs as well as school district expectations.

Increase their knowledge and skills in dealing with ethical issues involving field supervision and coordination with training programs.
