Coaching in Organizations

Event Description

Kelly Botto, B.A, instructor

In this program we will discuss the different ways coaching is used in organizations. We will examine the coach’s role in ensuring that the organization and client’s needs are met and the importance of engaging key stakeholders/and sponsors. The common pitfalls and barriers to success will be reviewed.   In addition, participants will identify their value proposition to the marketplace and discuss how to communicate their coaching brand effectively to potential clients and sponsors. Participants will share ideas on preparing for chemistry meetings.

Learning objectives:

  • Familiarize coaches with how coaching is used in organizations
  • Deepen understanding of difference between executive coaching and other types of coaching
  • Increase knowledge around common pitfalls to avoid in coaching
  • Define messaging around presenting oneself  as a coach to organizations
  • Clarify and differentiate one’s offer as a coach
  • Prepare for a “chemistry” meeting with a potential individual client

Kelly Botto is an accomplished leader in the field of executive coaching and leadership development. She has a passion for helping others and brings clarity and action to her coaching and consulting engagements. Clients describe her as practical, direct, honest, warm and insightful. Kelly brings humor and great energy to her work with clients. Most recently Kelly was a Partner with Camden Consulting Group, a boutique executive coaching and leadership development firm. As Partner, Kelly led the executive coaching practice. Kelly led the Client Service Team as well as built a team of coaches and consultants who serviced over eighty percent of Camden’s clients. Kelly worked closely with clients to understand their needs, design solutions and align Camden’s resources. Prior to Camden, Kelly designed and managed an international coaching program where she selected fifty coaches world-wide and managed hundreds of coaching engagements over a four year period. Kelly has sourced and vetted hundreds of coaches in her career and has helped organizations define their coaching needs at both an individual level and program level. She is also an expert at matching the right coach with client needs.  Some of Kelly’s clients include Animal Rescue League of Boston, reacHIRE, Loomis Sayles, Biogen Idec, Mobiquity, Inc, Atrius Health & Novartis. Kelly’s passion is to help individuals and organizations fulfill their potential. She has the natural ability to collaborate across boundaries and develop trusted relationships. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Anselm College.
