Encore Careers after Long Tenures Leading Organizations

In the next decade there is projected to be a tsunami of retirements of aging baby boomers leading organizations in the public/nonprofit sector.  This has been well documented by a national United Way of America report in 2012.  How well are these individuals, who will “retire”, prepared, emotionally and psychologically, for the transitional or “stepping down” process? This program is specifically designed for professionals nearing the conclusion of long successful careers in the public, non-profit, and/or academic sectors. The focus will be on the psycho-emotional aspects of ‘letting go’ and preparing for meaningful and enriching Encore Careers.  The program is also designed for mental health service providers working with individuals in this aging baby boomer constituency.
