The Cumberland Animal Clinic is seeking a highly motivated; people oriented, part time Kennel Assistant to complement our team. As Kennel Assistant your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, walking the dogs, cleaning cages and runs, feeding animals, bathing and grooming, helping administer treatments, unpacking and putting away new stock, assisting the technicians, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, laundry and thoroughly cleaning the facility each evening. The ideal candidate will have organizational skills, people skills and the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment as well as being able to work well independently. The candidate will have the ability to lift 40lbs. The position requires patience and a pleasant manner. This part time position is Monday-Friday 2:00pm to 7:00pm and rotating Saturday’s 8am to 1pm. They are responsible for greeting clients; differentiating routine cases from emergency cases; scheduling appointments; entering client, patient, and financial data into the computer; generating invoices and explaining them to clients; processing payments; and managing the retrieval and storage of medical records.
