Seeking an associate veterinarian (full-or part time) for a progressive, growing 2 doctor, well-equipped, privately owned companion animal hospital located in Southern MidCoast Maine. Our established clinic, with a strong support staff & loyal clientele, in addition to general practice services, offers surgery, emergency care and farm/home visits. We are looking for an associate who is enthusiastic and dedicated to values of excellent patient evaluation and preventative health care. Responsibilities include case management, problem solving, interfacing with the clientele and surgery. The ideal person must be able to offer quality veterinary care with current forward thinking approach. Soft tissue surgery is performed so one would need to be efficient in routine surgical procedures. Clinical Pathology Instructor Needed: York Community College is looking for a Clinical Pathology instructor for this fall in Wells.  This is a course for veterinary technology students where they will study laboratory techniques and procedures used in evaluating veterinary clinical samples. This will include hematology, urinalysis, parasitology, cytology, serology, microbiology, blood coagulation, blood biochemistry, and immunologic tests as well as any other topics related to essential American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) skills assigned to this course. The veterinary technician's role in sample collection, sample storage and handling and performance of analytic procedures will be emphasized. Skills are developed in the use of laboratory equipment, laboratory safety and quality control.
