2019 Conference Bike Tour

Event Description

Participants will meet in the hotel lobby for an entertaining and active guided bike tour around the False Creek area. Participants will leave from the hotel lobby and take a short 10 minute walk to the bike pick-up location. From there, they will embark on a guided leisurely-paced bike ride. The total bike ride time is approximately 45 minutes and 12 km / 7.4 miles in length. After the ride, participants will meet back at the starting point and walk back to the hotel together.

$35 US fee includes:

- Bike and helmet rental
- Water bottle
- Tour guide
- Tour guide gratuity

Itinerary (subject to slight changes):
Start circling False Creek, leading you past some small parks and Science World (5 min. stop).

On the way to Vanier Park, take a detour to Granville Island, which is known for its array of dining options, waterfront patios and the famous Granville Island Public Market (45 min. stop).

Continue to Vanier Park (10 min stop); home to the Museum of Vancouver, the Vancouver Maritime Museum, the City of Vancouver Archives, and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.

Carry forward to Kitsilano Beach, where outdoor enthusiasts gather for recreational games along the sandy beaches and grassy areas (10 min stop).

And finalize riding the Burrard Bridge on your way back to the hotel.

Approximate 45 min riding time – 11.9 km or 7.39 miles.
