Meet 3rd Year Law Student and NASL Summer Intern Abbey Herfurth

NASL, 6/28/2018

Starting her life in the Midwest, Abbey was born and raised in Osage Beach, Missouri.  After high school, Abbey headed south to attend Auburn University in Alabama, where she studied public relations and minored in business.  During her time at Auburn, she studied abroad twice - in Spain and Italy - and volunteered at the local nursing home during her free time.  After three and a half years of undergraduate studies, Abbey decided to graduate a semester early, and took that time to study for the LSAT in preparation for law school.

Currently, Abbey is a third-year law student at Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi, which is where she, along with her parents and younger sister, now permanently resides.  Last summer, Abbey studied abroad through Mississippi College’s Study Abroad program in China, South Korea, and France and, this past spring, Abbey was an intern for the State of Mississippi Supreme Court with Justice David Ishee.  As much as she loves the South, Abbey plans on hopefully calling DC her home after graduation.  So far, she has loved her time here, both at NASL and in Washington, and is very excited for what the remainder of her internship at NASL has in store.  We at NASL certainly appreciate having her.
