At the 2016 Winter Conference, NASL recognized US Representative Mike Thompson (D-CA) with its NASL 2016 Congressional Leadership Award for his significant contributions to advancing telehealth.  Rep. NASL Announces 2015-16 Board of Directors at its 26th Annual Meeting (October 15, 2015)

The National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL) elected new directors to serve on the Association’s Board of Directors for the 2015 – 2016 term at last week’s 26th Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.

The National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL) elected its 2014 – 2015 Board of Directors during the annual meeting of the now 25-year old association.


NASL Survey Shows Congress’ Part B Outpatient Therapy Medical Review Plan Not Working (December 4, 2013)

NASL released survey results of its members that show the Manual Medicare Review (MMR) process ordered by Congress is seldom conducted in the required 10 days - and at least 33% of the submitted MMR claims since January 1, 2013 are still waiting processing by Medicare contractors.

 

NASL Applauds House Majority Joining Bipartisan Call to Delay Medicare DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program (June 13, 2013)
Just over a week ago, Representative Glenn “G.T.” Thompson (R-PA) told DMEPOS providers and suppliers at NASL’s legislative meeting that having 150 Members of the House of Representatives sign a letter calling on Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Marilyn Tavenner to delay the DMEPOS competitive bidding Round 2 program could be “significant.” 

 


Congressman Thompson Briefs NASL Members on Capitol Hill (June 4, 2013)
NASL issued a press release on June 4, 2013, in anticipation of the June 5 fly-in where participants heard directly from Representative G.T. Thompson (R-PA) about the bipartisan efforts he is leading in the House of Representatives that would delay implementation of Medicare's DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program.

 


NASL Statement on Medicare Competitive Bidding Round 2 (February 1, 2013)
NASL issued a statement to the press on Friday, February 1, 2013, in response to the January 31st announcement by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which stated that rates for Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics & Supplies (DMEPOS) would be cut an average of 45 percent beginning in July 2013.
