The Top 10 Environmental Consultant Mistakes:  How New Technology Can Prevent Those Mistakes and Provide Significant Savings
Allan Blanchard

Allan Blanchard is the founder of OptaHub.com - a cloud-based platform for data management and project automation.   Allan is also the founder of EMS Environmental, Inc. where for 30 years he has specialized in the assessment and remediation of sites contaminated by petroleum products.

In his career, Allan has reviewed thousands of reports.  Most of his review time was not spent identifying technical or regulatory issues.  Instead, it was spent looking for stupid mistakes – the kind of mistakes that keep environmental consultants up at night, mistakes that could cause regulators to lose trust in his work and mistakes that could cost his clients’ money.

Allan realized the best way to prevent errors is to use technology to eliminate the opportunity for mistakes to occur in the first place.  In 2013 he teamed up with two young computer engineers to create OptaHub.com, a technology company focused on solutions that reduce human errors and greatly increase efficiency.

Allan is based in Bethlehem, PA where he enjoys spending time with family and, when it is cold, hitting the ski slopes.
