Chasing Coral, about the effects of climate change on coral reefs, won the Audience Choice Award at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.  During the class, Dr. Porter will describe his on-camera contributions to the film, provide a behind-the-scenes look at Sundance, and describe some exciting new science that has emerged from the film.  On October 4th, the film’s Producer, Larissa Rhodes, and several other cast members, will come to Athens for a local premier.  The screening will be followed by an audience Q&A that will include Dr. Porter.  OLLI members are encouraged to attend the screening and meet the film makers in person.
