Successful Volunteerism: How to Institutionalize Proven Best Practices
Wednesday, April 26, 2017 | 11:30 AM – 12:45 PM | Free Webinar

Presented by: Dr. William Geary, Founder, Global Evaluation Solutions and Andrea de la Flor, Cofounder, CoalitionEvaluation

Volunteers form the backbone of effective programs and services for many nonprofits. Yet only recently have researchers dedicated themselves to better understanding how organizations can meet the unique needs of their volunteer work force.

This webinar is specifically designed for organizations who rely on volunteers to provide services to community members. We will discuss how the motivations and needs of the volunteer workforce differ from the paid workforce. We will then describe recent research identifying 5 distinct volunteer satisfaction elements and the strength of their association with one’s intent to remain involved as a volunteer. We will also examine the varying needs and motivations associated with different demographic categories of your volunteer workforce.

This information will then be used to describe best practices for organizations that want to assure they are continually addressing the needs of their volunteers. We will present tools currently being used by cutting edge volunteer researchers and organizations as well as tools adapted from the research to fit into organizational practice. Join William and Andrea for this free webinar!
