Patrick Steiner, Governor

Patrick Steiner is Co-Head Wholesale Credit Risk SIFI Team at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, which he joined in 2011. Previously, Mr. Steiner created and lead the European High Yield Research group at JPMorgan Chase in 1998 and moved to an affiliate, Octagon Credit Investors, LLC in 2001. He spent 10 years at Octagon investing in leveraged loans and high yield bonds in Europe and the USA. Earlier in his career, he was a securities analyst at American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise), a banker at Bankers Trust Company, and founder of a private equity investment firm investing in project finance, leveraged buyouts and real estate. Mr. Steiner is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Commissioned Examiner of the FRS. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
