CPE Credit:      11  CPE  and  satisfies  requirements  for  Certification  by  the  Treasurer's  Association of Virginia and VGFOA Certificate Program. A certification exam will be given immediately after the end of the class.  The exam is closed book.
 

Objective:       Taught by Fred Parker, Treasurer of Washington County and past president of the Treasurers’ Association of Virginia, this course covers the structure of Virginia state and local  government;  the  Dillon  Rule,  intergovernmental  relations,  how  to  use Opinions of  the  Attorney  General,  FOI  and  Conflict  of  Interest,  the  role  of  the Compensation Board and public meetings.
