CPE Credit     12 CPE and satisfies requirements for Certification by the Treasurer's Association of Virginia and VGFOA Certificate Program. A certification exam will be given immediately after the end of the class.

Objective:  This course is based on the new GAAFR (Blue Book). Participants will be provided with a working knowledge of the special financial reporting issues faced by state and local governments.  The class assumes a basic knowledge of accounting and covers: the financial reporting entity, capital assets, debt, derivatives, landfill closure, pollution remediation, risk financing, other specialized accounting applications, overview of government-wide financing report, and financial statement analysis.
