Vermont Food Animal Veterinary Education Loan Repayment Program
Since 2011, the Vermont legislature has allocated $30,000 annually to the Vermont Food Animal Veterinary Education Loan Repayment Program (VFAVELRP) to support repayment of veterinary student loans of food animal veterinarians willing to practice in underserved areas of Vermont.   The Vermont Veterinary Medical Association administers the program however applicants do not have to be members of the VVMA.   Thanks to new grant terms from the State of Vermont, applicants may now apply for 4 years of funding (up from 3 years).  The VFAVELRP Task Force will be revising the overview and application documents in the coming months and we will post them here as soon as practical.

The VVMA is pleased to be involved in this important effort, and contact VFAVELRP Task Force Chair Dr. Jennifer Hull (hulldvm@gmail.com), Vermont State Veterinarian Dr. Kristin Haas (kristin.haas@vermont.gov), or VVMA Associate Director Linda Waite-Simpson (info@vtvets.org) if you have any questions.
