OBJECTIVES
By attending this presentation, attendees will be able to:
1. Recognize the Clinical Dangers of AtrialFibrillation and Impact of Atrial Fibrillation in
the State of Kentucky.
2. Identify the Range of Treatment Modalities for Atrial Fibrillation, Including Left Atrial
Appendage Exclusion for Stroke Risk Reduction.
This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 1.00 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME credit by the Physician Assistant Review Panel. Physician assistants should claim only those hours actually spent participating in the CME activity.
About the Presenter:
Theodore S. Wright, MD, a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the UK Gill Heart Institute specializes in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Dr. Wright completed fellowships in Cardiopulmonary Transplant and Cardiothoracic Surgery at University of California, San Francisco and University
of Wisconsin respectively. As a Board‐Certified Thoracic Surgeon, Dr. Wright, the most experienced mini‐maze surgeon in the Bluegrass, is an integral member of the multidisciplinary UK Heart Rhythm Program. He has published several papers and presented at various national
conferences and serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery.
