Jaime Kosofsky is a founding partner of the North Carolina based law firm of Brady & Kosofsky, PA. Jaime is a licensed attorney and leading authority in residential real estate law and title, short sale transactions, REO practice, and the unauthorized practice of law which is a leading topic and issue among the real estate professionals in the Southeastern region of the United States. He is called upon by various real estate companies, brokers, lenders, publications, and other professionals to share his knowledge and consult on various projects and educational programs. Jaime lectures several times a month on short sales, the default industry, and unauthorized practice of law related subjects while maintaining a robust residential real estate and default based law practice which services all of North Carolina and South Carolina. Jaime has developed a lawyer based short sale protocol which includes many innovate ideas to keep the consumer and servicers in tune with all activity occurring on a particular file. He is currently developing a consulting practice to assist lenders, servicers and other default and title based companies in complying with local authorized practice of law statutes as they attempt to conduct business in the attorney states of “North Carolina and South Carolina.
Jaime is a member of REOMAC, National REO Brokers Association, National Association of REO Brokers, The Open Door Institute, The North Carolina State Bar, The South Carolina State Bar, and the West Virginia State Bar. He is currently serving as a member of the editorial advisory committee for the October Research Company publication “RESPA News”.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. Jaime is a competitive cyclist and an avid fisherman. Jaime speaks English, Spanish and Hebrew.
